Talk to an expert
Tell us what you need in two minutes. We will introduce you to a regulated adviser who works in that area — free, and with no obligation to go any further.
What happens after you send this#
- We read it — a person, not a script.
- We match you with one regulated adviser who handles the kind of work you need, in your area.
- They contact you, usually within one working day.
- You have a conversation. If it is not for you, that is the end of it.
What we will never do#
- Sell your details to a list of companies.
- Pass you to anyone who is not regulated.
- Charge you anything.
- Keep contacting you if you tell us to stop.
Who we introduce you to#
Solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, STEP members (the specialist qualification for trusts and estates), and regulated will-writers. You can and should check anyone's credentials on the relevant public register before instructing them — we encourage it.
Not ready to speak to anyone?#
Completely fine. Try the trust savings calculator to see where you stand, or read how to keep the lot in six steps. Nothing here is gated.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes, to you. Advisers we introduce you to may pay us a referral fee if you go on to instruct them. That fee comes out of their side, not yours, and it never affects the guidance on this site or who we match you with. Full disclosure here.
What will it cost me to actually get a will or trust?
The adviser quotes you directly, and you decide. As a guide: £150–£400 for a straightforward single will, £250–£600 for mirror wills, £500–£2,000 for wills containing a trust. Always ask for a fixed fee in writing.
How many companies will contact me?
One. We match you with a single adviser suited to your enquiry. We do not run an auction and we do not sell your details on.
What do you do with my data?
We store your enquiry securely, pass it to the one adviser you have consented to be introduced to, and use it to respond to you. We do not sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time. See our privacy policy.
Can you give me advice directly?
No. We are an information service, not a law firm, and we are not regulated to advise. Everything we publish is general information about England & Wales. For advice on your own circumstances you need a regulated professional — which is what this form is for.
This is general information, not legal advice. Everyone's situation is different — speak to a qualified adviser before acting. KeepTheLot is an independent information service covering England & Wales. We are not a law firm.
